We specialize in custom wine and food tours in the Langhe (Barolo and Barbaresco), Roero and Monferrato wine regions in Piedmont, Northern Italy. Each tour is specially designed for the right mix of winery visits, wine tastings, Piedmont cuisine, vineyard hiking and exploring the small medeval hilltop villages. We will meet you at your hotel and escort you throughout the day so you can enjoy the wines and scenery. English is not widely spoken and we will be there to provide a translation.
Tasting can be slow work
The wine producers are very proud of their wine and vineyards and want to take the time to show you what they have to offer and this can be a slow process. A winery visit usually includes a tour of the cellar and estate, followed by a tasting of their wines. We advise an absolute maximum of 4 winery visits a day and recommend 2-3 as the optimum, particularly if you choose to drink and not simply taste.

Before you arrive, we will customize your itinerary to meet your interests and arrange all activities and winery visits. Please tell us about yourself so we make your tour more custom. Here is a list of poplular activities:

• Morning vineyard hike while learning about the vineyards and history of the area while walking through them. Beautiful views, some much needed exercise after dining on the rich Piemontese cuisine and taking a break along the way for an aperitivo and snack
• Exploring the many small medeval hilltop wine villages
• Touring the famous vineyards and panoramic vistas
• Visit and tasting with an artisanal cheese or salumi producer
• Wine and/or vineyard education with Robert to make you love, or expand your appreciation of Piemontese wines!
• Cooking classes
• Annual local festivals and tastings
• Sparkling "Spumante" Wine of Alta Langa Tour, it's not all red wine here, with our limestone enriched high altitude vineyards, the area is home to many good quality sparkling wines, all Methodo Classico(Method Champenoise).
• Truffle Hunt, when in season, we can arrange for you to go truffle hunting with a local hunter and his truffle dog.

• Hotel recommendations, if needed, whether you prefer 5* luxury or something more casual or rustic
• Your dinner restaurant reservations, whether your prefer pizza, simple trattoria style local specialities, or the Michelin Star experience. There are many to choose from and we can share our favorites with you.

Our pricing accompanying 2-4 people is as follows:
1/2 day afternoon 100 euros per person
includes:

• wine education with Robert throughout the afternoon
• pick up at your hotel and transportation throughout the afternoon
Full day 150 euros per person
includes:
• tour some of the small medeval wine villages
• 2-3 winery visits
• tour of some of the famous vineyards
• Lunch at a wine bar or osteria paired with local wine
(sampling of local cheeses and salumi, appetizer, pasta, dessert and espresso)
