Portofino & S. Margherita

Help (5)
Took the train and a short ferry ride to Portofino to do a little scouting for a few tours this fall. When we have tour of a week or more there is usually a side trip to outside of the Langhe such as Tuscany, 5 Terre or the Italian Riviera

Unusual Weather This Summer

Treiso1
We woke up to a very rare snow caped mountains view this week, usually in late June into early July we only have haze and no mountains. The high humidity normally hides the 280° mountain vista's. With the cool spring temps this year the snow has not all melted yet and without the heat no haze.
Treiso3
Backing up a bit on the zoom the village of Treiso appears the mountains on the horizon.

Panning to the right ( east ) the tower of Barbaresco is seen in front of the hilltop village of Magliano Alfieri in the Roero wine region.
Treiso2
Panning down to a Nebbiolo vineyard in front of Treiso, two early morning growers are working away leaf pulling.

It's still spring…..
